Wednesday, June 30, 2004 2nd semester. woof.
Music: Franz Ferdinand - Take Me Out Yep so its the second half of the year. Which means we gotta go studyyyy. -.- Well, Spiderman 2 looks rather good. The reviews around are actually not that bad for a sequel. Theres a couple of magazines that gave it 5 stars. So well... hmmm. Apparently, the producers of the Spider-man franchise are gonna make 7 more sequels. o.0" What, are they gonna have every single villian for every movie until they run out of villians?? wooosh. Anyways, heard these semester's gonna be the shortest of all so far. I dont really know whether its for acs(i) only or other schools also, but its gonna end mid-october. NICE. But that also means less time to prepare for the end-year exams. Oh well, nevermind. Kinda long time since i last blogged anyway. Been rather busy around lately. Oh well. Ciao. Saturday, June 19, 2004 Its a Weekend!!!
Music: Usher - Yeah Yeah its a weekend. Like saturday. o.0 ooohh bimbotic. Pffft well. Anywayz, the movies that came out last week and this week are pretty terrible. Like: Chronicles of Riddick Crappy Sci-fi movie with NO PLOT. Judi Dench apparently lowered her level. Around the World in 80 Days And you dont have to tell me that a movie with Jackie Chan starring as a French acrobat is no good. Turning a classic into a slapstick comedy isnt great. The Best Bet Who wants to watch another Jack Neo film? *sigh* and a film about 4D cant possibly be any good for our already money-crazed population, can it? Terrible, terrible, terrible. Oh well, theres MTV Movie Awards later today, on MTV. And The Ring on HBO. Wooo... stupid American remakes. Tuesday, June 15, 2004 Mid-holiday Blues
Boo-bleh. The fan blowing at me on a sunny (AND REALLY HOT)afternoon. Its still hot. Its like I wake up all sweaty every morning. >< BAH. Courses and courses and courses. I have too many courses this june holidays. More than any other holidays in fact. Anyway, something interesting in Life! today. $5000 around the world package. o.0 Looks rather cost-effective, but my mom still thinks its expensive. Its quite a lot of places what. Oh my 67 year old uncle just died 0.0 My mom was so terribly upset yesterday. *sigh* Its saddening when somebody dies. "If I could soar I'd try to take these wings and fly Away to where the leaves turn red" Hmm Hanson's latest single 'Penny and Me' doesnt sound that bad. When compared to their previous singles (which were a long time ago) of course. Well there seem to have been a lot of anti-hero movies around lately. Err lets see... Riddick in Chronicles of Riddick The Punisher Paris in Troy Lindsay Lohan girl in Mean Girls Donkey in Shrek 2? Oh well, shall continue watching cable... Sunday, June 06, 2004 Prissyner of Lustkaban
o.0 something charisse came up with. lol. anyway, Prisoner Of Azkaban was quite good in a sense. The director tried to be different and actually succeeded quite well in doing so. He made the film darker, funnier, mature-er and stylish-er all at the same time. He used a lot of techniques like how he switched from scene to scene by closing into a circle. You know, how they finish those Looney Tunes cartoons and such. Oh well, i watched it at Grand yesterday and the theatre was like FULL HOUSE. Even on tuesday when we booked, the theatre was already more than half-full! GV Grand seems rather popular. Like cine. w00sh im looking forward to the 4th harry potter film, cause its gonna be yet another different director. I guess keeping the same director kinda makes it stale. Wednesday, June 02, 2004
eeeeeeek. oh well everybody does have disorders, right. Malfunctioned Mid-days
Well so yesterday I woke up with a hangover (which I practically do so everyday). Then went to cine for lunch before watching The Day After Tomorrow with bryan, nathan and kevin. Before we went into the theatre, we saw ian [yo!] and *gasp* the weird fag! And as usual, the weird fag was with a lot of girls. As usual. Anyway, back to the movie... Delta Goodrem's Australia played twice before the movie! *everybody laughs* We watched in digital, so the whole cinematography thing was actually kinda "nice and neat". The acting was pretty standard too, dennis quaid did quite a good job with the whole father thing. The whole theory with the ice caps melting due to global warming made sense. Sorta. Cause, the thing that seriously puzzles me is that "How could the Ice Age thing be brought on in a week?" That's the scientific gap. Even according to an article, NASA and some climatologists said that it was scientifically impossible for an Ice Age to occur in such a short matter of time. A hundred years maybe? But definitely not 10 days. Anyway, in the end, the message about the impact of global warming and all that pollution stuff was still there. And the trashing of major cities and landmarks was still something enjoyable.(e.g. the trashing of the hollywood sign) And the CGI was much more realistic than other disaster movies. Well, im looking forward to the Prisoner of Azkaban. And for today, im just slacking at home. So pretty much nothing that is. |
