Sunday, August 29, 2004 Caution: Teacher Alert
A bit of suspicion on my part, but i believe that there are some teachers roaming around our blogs. Again, this is purely me being suspicious. T'well. Anyway, not much happened. Had the NCC (Air) Camp which me and arjun only went for 5 hours, thanks to the Youth Science Conference. Bwahahaha. Well, we went for the more important parts basically. After all, a good 6 hours was for sleeping and i guess thats not major stuff. Okay, basically theres really little left to blabber/nonsense(v)/crap about. Yeah. Quality of movies going down whereas quality of music going up? o.O hmmm. Well, Bourne Supremacy doesnt look too bad though. Considering the first one was kinda nice. But still... *im sleepy. And on the habit of keeping posts short. Ciao. Thursday, August 26, 2004 Tying loose the tight ends
And we think that life should go as intended. But no, in fact the reverse should happen. Not chronologically or technically but yes. And i just didnt have a clue on what i said! Oh well, sad thing about Li Jia Wei. She just didnt have the mental stability for the match. And her dampened spirit couldnt have helped her in the Bronze Medal Match either. *sigh* I guess we just have to wait another four years... to get fourth place again for Table-Tennis. In other news, wait actually there isnt any news. OH yeah, me and Jono's ISO has finally been completed even though a lot of people havent even started on the draft. How funny, especially since we did the first draft only one week ago. So in short, w00t. Okay, regarding what happened today, i apologise if anyone is upset about what happened during chinese. Yah, sorry okieeee. It's a very small difference anyway, so there wouldnt be really much advantage in it. And now for an ultimately monotonous post, I also apologise and shall retire to sleep. Blah. Saturday, August 21, 2004 A Saturday Night Fever
Well seeing that my recent posts have been rather long and blabbery, i've decided to make this one nice and short. hurgh. fever.. fever.. Firstly, never EVER take the mrt at 6pm +. By golly, i did that yesterday and ran into an assortment of "eclectic" characters. For those who dont know what that means, read 'weird'. Firstly, this guy beside me at the crowded platform keeps sneezing. Ok thats perfectly normal. No its not when he keeps laughing his head off everytime he sneezes. And he is NOT on the phone or talking to anybody. Later, when the train arrives and the doors are about to open, this middle-aged woman screams at the top of her lungs. Everybody freezes. She then proceeds to rush into the train and sit. Ah. Then these two girls start singing their heads off 2 stops later. Eh.... singapore idol auditions over ok. Okay, lesson learned. Now for other things... Had NCC training this morning and whoopee, i got a promotion again! So now we are Corporals. No other sec 2 UYOs' got this rank yet. I think. Okay, hooray new badges too. LMFAO, lejon's marching involved hitting a lot of people "accidentally". X) Ahhhh... ive got a fever now. Tuesday, August 17, 2004 Jump and Run for tomorrow!
Ok this is an extra delayed post. Com's kinda screwed. Oh well, a slightly more exciting week anyway: Ashlee Simpson's Showcase And so we were walking along Orchard Road on a nice breezy Sunday. (Not that you can feel the breeze in Orchard, but nevermind) Anyway, I was with Esther and my sister after church. After going into cine, where we had lunch and after that, deemed all the movies currently not worth to watch OR unwatchable. Like *space* Anyway, we walked out of cine and my sister suddenly went crazy. Then esther went crazy. Turns out they saw the stage at Youth Park where ashlee simpson was going to perform live later that day. So... naturally, esther snooped around the area and managed to get free passes to the mosh pit for us. Yeah, she's naturally good at this sort of thing. MHMM. Then, we grabbed some snacks and lounged around til like 4 o clock, when some MTV hosts came out to like do some pre-show nonsense. (refuses to mention who) And then, finally at 445, after having rained and then stopped. And then rain. And stop. Anyway, she finally arrived and then proceeded to blast the crap out of my ears. =) Haha anyway, pieces of me and shadow are kinda nice songs nevertheless. Oh and they threw posters into the crowd and my sis got one. o.O She was like one of the lucky six people to get it signed by ashlee later on. Oh well, i got to shake her hand too. Bwee. Monday, or otherwise, X-country Day Okay, kinda unexpected that i was the top ten for TKK (me house) ESPECIALLY since i had a bloody stitch "twice the worst stitch i ever had". You know, worse than those worse ones. Hmm, i did overtake 10 people at the end though. =) Other weird news: "Tim Leong sounds squeaky when his voice is fast forwarded on a computer." Wait, everybody's is. "Some guy fell asleep whilst sitting on a rock halfway during a run. Had a rude shock by being woken up by Ms Bok Hai Choo. " X) And Jmac was sleeping on ST JOHNS (which means medical) DUTY. And other weird class antics again. Wednesday, August 11, 2004 Two Days Later
Ohh... Like happy birthday singapore! >< National Day was kinda boring this year cos.... well, i dunno. It might have been that i slept out the whole afternoon or maybe i just find singapore a tad boring. Ok maybe more than that but oh well. Anywayz, a rundown of events: (somehow it seems fun-er to do it like this) Bar-bee-queue at Costa Sands with church friends Yay, we had our 5th (proper) barbeque! Whee, it was SO FUN. Cannot stop reiterating on that. But yeah. We dunked marcus and esther into the pool together!! Yay joshua you rock! Basically we had a lot of pool fights (haha no injuries of course) and we had this mass super soaker battle! Then we had a barbeque where serene kept getting her chicken wings burned! Basically a lot of burnt stuff! Then we played dai dee for like half an hour before changing the game to heart attack! Hahaha, mike does a seriously mean whack on the hand X) After a while, we walked around the beach before trooping off to Downtown East to watch soccer! Haha it was about like 3 am when i got home! =) Yay, charisse so generous for getting your mom to rent the chalet again for 3 years in a row, hahaha thanks! And thus as a result i woke up at 1230 on national day. Lejon's POOL Partay Haha lejon lives like ages away from my house, but thats beside the point! =) When I got there, basically everybody was slacking around the pool READING BOOKS. Haha, but that was only for like 10 mins. Then, almost everybody trooped up to Lejon's house to play on the GameCube. The others, went to play soccer at the nearby b-ball court. After like half an hour of SSBM we all decided that we were bored enough and played Kirby's Air Ride! >< Darren managed to acquire 3 parts of a dragoon or sth and pwnzOred everyone. Haiz taico lahhh. =P Then the people playing soccer came up and then we all went down to get ready for the barbeque! Yep, ANOTHER barbeque. Well for me that is! Anyway, Ken Wei, Kevin, Jono and me plotted to push Lejon in the pool. Which we did! And later on Ken Wei got pushed in TWICE by Lejon's sister! XD Hahaha... LMFAO. Bryan was busily reading his books up til then! Hahaha! So Zephy, Andrew, Kenneth and Sean went back to playing soccer. And then Sloke arrived, and we all plotted to throw Jono in. Haha, but they changed their minds halfway and decided to throw me in! ACK! Got a few scratches but heck! =D Oh well, we then went to play cards at the table. Sounds familiar yeah. And then we went to eat at 630 which is pretty early for me but oh well. Hahaha apparently Andrew had some "differences" with Lejon's neighbour. Quite a lot actually. Even Lejon's sis argued with his neighbour! o.0! Haha quite entertaining. After dinner, ken, bryan, kevin, darren and jono all left and we then went to play pool by the pool. Yeah i terribly sucked at it. Lol, daryl and sloke were quite good at it. Oh yeah and lejon's "girlfriend" Alicia came with her friend before that. Sloke left and we continued playing soccer til Lejon's mum brought the cake down and we kept teasing Alicia about Lejon! X) Oh well. (P.S. We dunked lejon AGAIN!) And today i did nothing! So tomorrow back to school. Blah! =) Saturday, August 07, 2004 Lets Get It Started!
Woo-Hoo! A pretty eventful week. Been doing much running around (the school)! For what i dont really know. Running rocks. =) Quite a lot of stuff rocks. But yeah. =) Uh-huh. Anyway, have to apologise to sloke, yeah. >< Stooopid me. Ok, i bet everybody knows what this is about but yeah. Bleagh. Sorry, yeah. Well rundown for the whole week. Lessee: Rugby Finals Yeah we won!!! XD St Andrews suxOrz! They've got a damn lot of crap attitude man. Like after the match, they were going around bitching about our school with loud voices. Pfft. Heck who cares, proves they suck all the more. Lol, during the match, this idiot(s?) was running around the track with the st andrews flag cheering. Then an acjc girl tripped him and broke the flag into 3 pieces. LMFAO. The ac family rocks. Pre-IB Interview More of In-Da-View. Especially when somebody that intimidating KEEPS looking at you. Drong's mole that is. I almost went: "MOLEYYY!" Blah. Most of our interviews were rather short. Jiun Hsiung's had only 2 questions! Haha, screwed. Well hope it went well and that there'll no more confrontation with the MOLE. AC Superstar Ok the truth is that this isnt really a talent hunt. Or anything related to ability to sing! So we were all tricked into buying it yeah. Hmm but Jiao's singing was quite good actually. Of course he had a sore throat. (HMM) But well. Hahaha, Marcus says its AC Super-Gah. National Day (school) Parade Ack. Why saturday harh? HARH. Gah. And AC Superstar finished at 1030! One of the downs of an independent school: The senior admin choose when to hold events. Anyway, it was pretty okay except it was.. boring. Yeah, we are really used to this sorta crap. ARGH wanted to go for history drama!!! Hmm but natalie said it wasnt that good... T'well. And Mr Alvin Tan was there anyways. *eye twitch* Yay got quite a lot of stuff planned for the uber-uber long weekend. Gonna be: Going for a BBQ tomorrow nite at costa sands! Watching a movie or two! Chilling at friends' houses =D Doing homework. A lot -.- Celebrating National Day!!! Not. I wanna watch Collateral! Its NC-16. Haha dont tell we're sneaking ah! ;) Monday, August 02, 2004 Living for that new hope
Music: Hoobastank - The Reason Yay, Band Night rocked! wOOt. It was ultra fun with the occasional hiccup that the band had. And the unfortunate soloist! But overall it was really good. The first piece, which was the "Persis Overture" or something was excellent. And the movie scores, like Pirates and Harry Potter at the end were fantastic too. Hahaha, i sound like im on some drug that gives you that highly positive feeling. X) Nice. And and the people who went were all very happy, lively etc! Haha, ken wei was chatting frequently to Cheryl (well at least i think it was cheryl). Then then, bryan, fish, (you lost your hair!) loon, sean and tim lim who were happily talking away too! Natalie brought her sister along! Who you claimed was your twin at first! Haha, but it was quite obvious that she was your sister lah! Yay, me lounging on the steps like an ah peh after the performance! XD Haha and Ah Rong/Sheng. Whee. Other people like lejon (and his sister too!), ching pin, gen huong and ryan lim, who left for england last year (and is still based there by the way) were there too! OH and not forgetting the band members too. Congrats to Derek, Jono, Lester and Tim Leong for performing. Haha, extra congrats to those who got into the committee for next year! Ok, im a bit crazy for mentioning all the people but yeah the concert really rocked anyways so its very (umm.....) memorable! Oh yeah, and as for Kevin who forgot that it was on Saturday, not Sunday. "Cheer up, its not that bad after all!" Oh no, im beginning to sound like one of those self-help people! Better be going. Adios! |
