Tuesday, September 28, 2004 Everything happens for a reason?
Music: Embrace - Gravity Like why I used that title is because I was just inspired by an episode of Sex and the City? But back to that idea. Well that reasoning is also aligned with many religions. But maybe people just say that because they find some security and assurance in believing that what has just happened can be explained. Or maybe that life is just something too overwhelming and thus we need to link everything up together? Everything is inter-connected? Well. Anyway in the meantime, a LOT of people have been falling sick. Especially due to viral infections. Heck even I fell sick during the September holidays. But yeah, it is better to be bedridden earlier than now just before the exams. >< Hope those that are unable to come to school are able to study though. Jmac, shouren, arjun. Get well. Went with ken earlier today to j8 to buy comics for darren's sister and gamecube games. Whoa, i never knew gamecube games were like $90. O.O As if $60 PC games werent ex enough already. Oh well i guess the game is fun anyway. And that mostly matters. "And then i looked up at the sun And i could see Oh, the way that gravity turns for you and me And then i looked up at the sky And saw the sun And the way that gravity pulls on everyone On everyone" Looking forward to end-year party anyways! =) Saturday, September 25, 2004 Will I pass you by?
Music: Keane - Bedshaped And will I ever see you calling my name? Does it ever make a difference, that you sneak a glance - Or when you turn around as we cross each others paths. Or am i just dreaming. >< Oh well, pretty late now so im gonna crash after this post. Went to visit Jmac after school on friday. He's having a high fever/viral infection thingy similar to mine during the hols but probably 5 times worse. Hope he gets well, that blood extraction must have been really nasty. Yeah, get well alright! =) Okay just finished from making notes on Merchant of Venice anyway (cue: shock). Haha anyway, there's quite a lot of revision piled up. History mock worksheet, five geog structured essays >< and physics revision w/s. Why do you look so familiar I could swear that I have seen your face before I think I like that you seem sincere I think I like to get to know you a little bit more Anyway, looking forward to Youth Camp! Haha, all R-agers must come!! =) Night. Saturday, September 18, 2004 There's a better place out there
Music: Los Lonely Boys - Heaven Yet another guy got into a mrt accident, Yet another bomb's been set off in turn. Another scene of violence has occured, Another life has been deeply hurt. What can we do? Nothing. And... Do you believe anything I say? Do you think i dont believe anything you say? An uneventful melancholic night of wistful thinking. Anyway, nothing much happened recently. Lost my handphone, got a ear-splitting headache. Found my handphone again, to much delight. Thanks to everybody who helped me in trying to find it and reassuring me that its somewhere. It turned up in the most unlikely place but nevermind. Good luck to everybody studying for their end-of-years. And even best of luck to ben, porky, gareth, alvin and shadrach for their prelims. Especially for e A math paper. =) Finished Merchant of Venice for the second time. Ahh good, i can remember 'most' of the quotes. Eh. Pretty much okay with geog, lit and physics now. Should be focusing on history and life science *><* soon. Hmm still havent made up my mind whether I should go to NUS High. My maths and sciences arent really good. But then again, i dont really feel like staying in a class with the exact same people for 2 more years leading to the O's. It just doesnt really look/feel like a cohesive class, not to mention anybody AND its not everybody, but yeah. Decisions like these just make you think about the future. Its really puzzling on how you are gonna make the most of the next 20 years of your life. Who you'd stick with. Hmm. Gotta crash now. More studying required tomorrow. Saturday, September 11, 2004 Light My Fireee~ Place.
Music: The Corrs - Angel, Midnight Train to Georgia Ashlee Simpson - LaLa. Anything hippy. X) Oofus. Finally feeling well around here. Yeah am. Haha i just felt like having a livejournal. o.O hah. or something different from blogspot at least. Sudden tendencies. Warning: could be dangerous. Haha, anyway just watched MTV Video Music Awards. sigh, performances and stuff pretty okay but im getting really bored out by this kind of stuff. Phases! Phases! Ok so is a blog where you record what you do everyday you know, like tripping over an old man, getting into a fight with your neighbour and stuff or is it just putting your thoughts and only your thoughts regardless of every detail in your daily life. Reflections or reality? Or is it a mix of both. Probably. Extremes get boring. So, our church youth has just decided to create a dance group. o.O eh, yeah. Whee now we can like breakdance, hip-hop, new age whatever. Serene suggested spoofdance. What da?? Haha okay hopefully be going for church tomorrow. Still thinking what to become in future. Novelist?? Nahhhhhh. Your flight has been delayed
Music: Jasmine Trias - Midnight Train to Georgia ' Leaving On An Airplane'. Sentimentality. Okay today i thrusted myself out of the house and for once bothered to go out and do... well something. Haha more exactly, went to watch The Terminal at bugis with ah xian! Yeah ok long time havent gone out! I think... hmmm. Anyway, the movie was great! Its the first noiseless movie that i have not fell asleep in! Instead of any overt plot development, the movie is focused on individual character development and the changing inter-relationships between Tom Hanks and the other people of the John F Kennedy Airport. There were also a lot of funny scenes in the movie. Yeah, it's good. Ok then after that swensens, and i think the apple crumble we ordered is not gonna help my cough! >< haha but anyways it looked nice AT FIRST. Then after we ate it, it looked like a warzone. Haha, well sort of. Then walked to City Hall via Suntec and stopped halfway to look at people's shoes. Haha so boliao.. =P Well, i think there are a lot of opportunities that seem to be closing up to me. Bah. Hopefully something comes along that ill find better. Im really thinking about the future and what paths im taking now are gonna affect it. So confusing. Sunday, September 05, 2004 Undiluted Trouble
Great. I couldnt even go to church today. This fever is weird. I woke up feeling pretty fine this morning. However, once i entered the shower, i started coughing all over and almost puked. AND i collapsed onto the floor. Yes that probably sounds terribly loser-ish, but i almost passed out for a second there. >< Then, after having nothing but boiled(!) potato soup for lunch. I went to sleep. And when i woke up, guess what? I felt PERFECTLY FINE. That was 2 hours ago. Now im starting to cough again. Saturday, September 04, 2004 The need for being biased
Why do people need to be biased against others? Regardless of religion or moral values, there are some people who love keeping baggage against others. The scary belief is that this is more common among Christians (not all of course). Is it really that hard to forgive someone after they've done wrong? After all regardless of religion, arent we supposed to forgive one another? (well, unless you belong to some cult which believes in bearing grudges for eternity) Anyway, back to my less thinking issues. Watched Bourne Supremacy on wednesday. I must say its a rather good movie and the plot development is good without the pace being too fast or too slow. The car chase scene in Moscow is rather enjoyable too. Okay, today i really feel quite unwell. Our class had history supplementary for 2 hours in the afternoon. And then i realised i didnt bring along my quintessential nike waterbottle. Especially since it was 32 degrees that afternoon. And after reaching home, via a very late lunch at Holland V with bryan and patrick, i got a seriously bad headache. So i slept. And then when i woke up it got even worst and my neck was throbbing. My ears were burning and my back ached like shit. Didnt even feel like eating dinner. Furthermore, i was coughing up something red. Blood? So after going to the doctor, im diagnosed as having some throat infection and a fever. GAHHH. Went back to sleep and now im blogging my last post of my life. >< Better go back to sleep before anything worse happens. Fwah. |
