Music: The Killers - Mr Brightside I've still been trying to completely decipher the multitude of eccentricities, complexities and coincidences of life. It just so happens that everytime you seem to be able to comprehend, or 'get it', something occurs that may either dispel parts of your theory or even worse: totally trash it. Either way, it just proves that nothing one tries to ascertain about life ever stays on track. Its like entering the Reader's Digest Annual Sweepstakes. They keep sending you letter after letter, trying to convince you that you're definitely going to strike a win every year. But of course my mother has never received the golden letter. Its quite stupid I must actually admit. How people always get mesmerized into believing that they've definitely got it. So maybe its like Murphy's Law. Whatever you hope doesn't happen, always does. It's a law. But yet there's hardly anything scientific about it, making it an intangible truth of life. Well I was hoping I would always finish my posts on time. But somehow or other I never do. Just like this instance. Ain't it funny. Monday, April 04, 2005 Getting a mental-block
Music: Jennifer Lopez feat Fabulous - Get Right Blogging is incredibly interesting. Some people type rubbish sometimes but that probably means that they're full of rubbish anyway. Why do we refer to it sometimes as updating? Isn't updating more like a business report, a broadsheet news article or something more formal? Updating sounds more like a duty or requirement that you have to fulfill on a regular basis but I really don't think thats what blogging is about. Its more like recording your thoughts and expressions when you feel like doing so. But perhaps we only blog about the positive things that are happening, the triumphs and successes. Unless you're a severely depressed or maniacal person, most of us would tend to reflect on our experiences in a good light or at least in a way that glorifies us. It may not be glaringly obvious but there's a hint or scent of it somewhere along the post. Maybe it isn't so much as bias as it is of opinion. And perhaps thats whats life is about. The gift (or is it curse?) of viewing things in a certain perspective. Do we really have to acknowledge everything in a particular way and conform to certain norms. Well I suppose life would be less complex and easier to go through, decisions will be straightforward and the omniscient force of order will be appeased. But then again, where's the fun in that? |
