Plug-in: Talk - Coldplay haven't been able to update during the past week because i've been really busy with school and even cca at times. one thing about using your laptop so often is that you don't really feel like staring at a screen again once you come home. hence, the lack of posts but anyway its better to blog only when you feel like doing so. there was a humongous three hour break somewhere in the middle of tuesday because a teacher fell ill in the middle of class (can you believe that?!) and decided to call the day off 1 hour early. adding on to the 2 hour break afterwards, (almost) the whole of the class hence decided to have lunch outside. we train-ed down to jurong entertainment centre for lunch at long john's before some random fun at the arcade and inevitably, the neoprint booth! hahaha x) okay the experience there was super hilarious because 10 of us went into this huge booth and everything on the touch screen was in japanese so carmen just hit in some random buttons and then what followed was mass hysteria! the girls all started screaming when the lights started blinking and we were all laughing and shifting around in random poses over the length of TEN shots! wahahaha but sadly we only managed to get one of the shots in digital, all the others were on print :( the whole thing was super fun! met cherie after school at raffles place for dinner because i had to run some errands there.. upgrading my sim card at starhub to a 3G sim card and settling the booking for the bioskin appointment, the 98.7fm offer, which is going to be at wheelock instead this thursday. anyway, school ended early at 11 on wednesday and by right we were supposed to have a wonderful break for the rest of the day. instead, someone decided to plonk a portfolio briefing right smack at 430pm. since everyone went back home to get their notebooks and mine hadn't been delivered yet, i had nothing to do. talked to alita for a while before she had to leave as well. it was starting to get boring because i didn't want to go all the way back home either. but luckily celeste came to the rescue, haha! we had lunch at the ever super-crowded koufu and talked for a while before we walked out to the bus-stop. i took a 74 down to ngee ann to meet mingli at the business canteen and met some of her classmates in the process as well! we went to the main library and hung out for a while. yew jia and i got ming li to finally start using msn! hahaha yea thats how ancient ming li is =X wanted to crash their maths lecture at the convention centre but i wouldn't have been able to make it back for the portfolio briefing which turned out to be a complete waste of time actually. met the rest of the class at dover mrt before heading in and throughout the whole thing everyone was chatting on msn or playing games on their notebook because everything that was explained was already ONLINE! so the whole thing was really quite pointless. left afterwards with ruicheng and jonathan to pool before going back. had to follow up on a group project after school on friday but it ended quite fast. hung around with alita for a while at the bizIT library, using our laptops [and at the same time draining away the library's electrical power x)] before i left to meet joel at city hall and we went around funan mall searching for a suitable laptop cushion case but to no avail. the ones that were all my size were either sold out or the extremely expensive high-end brands. had dinner at long john silvers before going home. yesterday i went for the sp cyclists orientation which was a whole day event. i wouldn't say whether the route was short or long but it was pretty manageable. we cycled from sp all the way down clementi road, through the west coast area and then turning into the highway, finally ending up at telok blangah where we cycled to the other end which was labrador park. had some orientation games before they cycled to the jurong end of west coast park where we had a barbeque. but of course some of us (namely aileen, stella, yogathi, wee hao..) snuck out to the nearby macs when we realised the food was limited in quantity haha! afterwards we cycled back to sp and by the time i got home it was almost midnight already. but the day was really fun and i got to make new friends and know more people from around sp! (: highway cycling...________________which way to go? this was my trusty, cool-looking bike for the journey(: entrance to a hilarious obstacle course (notice chankra grinning as he tells a funny story) FINALLY BACK (: anyway, i finally got my laptop cushion case today because after church, janice and i met up with joel again to scout sim lim after church and lunch at tekka mall. and i finally found a reasonably priced cushion case that met my laptop dimensions! haha i'm really relieved that i have don't to carry it on hand or put it in my bag because it's always at a risk of getting damaged! anyway, dropped by ttsh on the way home with jessie to visit mom. the good news is that she's going to get well soon but she won't be discharged until a few days later. had a light dinner at square2 before going back home. i don't shine if you don't shine, ~reyz Monday, April 23, 2007 Maybe some things aren't meant to be
Plug-in: Sitting, Waiting, Wishing - Jack Johnson sometimes i think its a lot easier to believe that no matter what you do, everything is predestined. it makes life a lot easier because you know that despite whatever decision you make, you will always end up with the same result, so why rack your brains and worry about what choices to make? then again, there is beauty in choice. because getting to decide and control what lies ahead feels more satisfying and rewarding. the thing about choice though, is that it creates a lot more room for regret. for every decision you make, some part of you always wonders whether it's the best one and its really easy to get carried away by just thinking about the possibilites and what would have been different in your life if you had chosen another path. anyway, i finally ordered my acer laptop on saturday. the registration and everything took quite long so i met up with janice for lunch at jurong point fish&co. talked for a while, before i returned to acer inc. near imm to finish the registering and they told me that the notebook would only be delivered earliest by tuesday. so today (and most probably tomorrow as well), i have nothing to do during the online tutorial sessions and i'll have to catch up once i get my lappy! :\ rushed down all the way to hougang, because i was already late for youth church. after the service, kevin, rastus, rasmus, darryl and i got a lift from kevin's uncle to tiong bahru plaza where we had dinner at this cafe which had a really crappy manager and lousy customer service where the restaurant staff was divided over pricing. hilarious! we then went to bugis street but we didn't buy anything in the end except for kevin. took a bus back to kevin's place at queenstown for a stayover because the next morning we had to help out at henderson cc for the mount faber run. woke up at the unearthly hour of 5am and we took a taxi down to the place. took away some breakfast from the nearby food centre because we were slightly late already. however, when we reached the site, we realised breakfast was provided. -.- but anyway, we were assigned to help out at the bag deposit section and it was really hectic dealing with large crowds at 7am in the morning, but it was also fun! we talked with our section leader during the break, a long-serving volunteer worker, and he's a really funny guy! had lunch before we took a lift from aunt patsy back to church for the sunday service. it was quite similar to ga's adult service as well because both are charismatic but lsbc's one has its differences as well. after it ended, i left with grace, stefanie, celeste, delia and jia wei to the macs at kovan. but i didn't eat anything because earlier in the day i lost almost all my money! =( but i wasn't really hungry because i was quite full from the lunch earlier. j.d. and jonothan came by after a while and they started studying. so, not wanting to disturb, i left and took a train to sengkang, dropping by darryl's place. the twins and their parents came by after a while to fetch us to melvin's place at pasir ris for a combined cell bonding bbq. pictures: stefanie sneaking a shot at us from balcony. celeste! russell!______________________________stefanie with gerald jia wei, ryan and randy jonothan to the left____________________celeste, amanda, stefanie nicholas, our masterchef!_________________group discussion with melvin 8 to 1_______________________________flying! a collage of stefanie's feet and mine! :D above______________________________under rising..! hahahaha! super lameness and super fun! anyway, i really can't tolerate mondays.. its the first day of the week and it has the most periods all the way from 9 to 5 with only one hour break! actually tuesday is also quite bad because its 8 to 4 but at least there are multiple breaks! (not that we would need them) mega tired. and I wonder if truly you are, nearly as beautiful as I believe ~reyz |
