Chatter-Bridge

Dreaming With a Broken Heart by John Mayer. This song really puts you at peace.
I'm learning how to play it, haha.
Enjoy.

I'm having such a horrible migraine (or something to do with the back
of my head throbbing really badly) that i can't even sleep. and sleep
now is all so needed because of all the work there is to be done for my
granddad's wake.

better go check that up.

Vrooooooom.

Okay, i'm off to the mtv asia awards 2008 tomorrow at Genting's Arena of Stars!
Yes, by some lucky fluke i won a pair of tickets to the event via 98.7 fm when i smsed
in one bored afternoon.

It's been a great week, projects have all been done and submitted and i finally managed
to catch The Dark Knight! and i tell you it is simply awesome! more about it when i get
back, i've gotta go pack now!

this is what happens when an unstoppable force meets an unmovable object

Had a really short day at school today, only 2 hours of tutorials!

Because after that, our bfi tutorial was for fieldwork so christian, victoria, susi, william,
khadijah and i left for tampines to do some fieldwork on the citibank office. although
we could have actually gone to the nearer branch at raffles place but nevermind..

quickly rushed off to somerset after that for the library's annual titles selection at hmv
orchard which i was chosen for. spent about 2 hours combing through all 3 floors with a
dozen others looking for dvds and music cds that as stated by the librarian "we" would
watch. i took the opportunity to seize concert dvds and tv series that our already expansive
library collection, which trust me is already like quite big, doesn't have. and the feeling of
going into hmv and taking anything you want off the shelf into your basket is like strangely
gratifying. a few customers had priceless expressions when they saw the number of dvds
in my basket, haha!

so 6 seasons of scrubs, 2 seasons of 30 rock, prison break, house and many more later, a
return to the holding room revealed that we probably took everything else our library
doesn't have in music cds and dvds. meaning our library now has everything. and no other
polytechnic or maybe even university probably has such a huge media collection available on rent. haha. with the exception of m18 dvds though, but i probably managed to sneak in
Entourage in the massive pile there too. oh and not forgetting countless indie rock and music
titles amongst the mix. some photos will give you a better idea yeah...

the music/concert dvds i grabbed. can you spot Fall Out Boy and John Mayer?(:
oh and the library needs bob marley too.
my HUMONGOUS pile of dvds (mostly only the tv series still)
oh, some lonely planet and anthony bourdain on the top left ;)
muzik. a lot of it.
anyway, what you're seeing here is only a fraction of the actual finalized pile that we had.
metre-high stacks covering the long table which i wasn't allowed to take photos of cos it's
against hmv rules... anyway we get to reserve whatever we 'tagged' with our post-it's (:
so something to ponder on now.. where on earth does sp's library get all their funding from?
aha.

Back to Reality

Yeah, the title says it all. After a truly enjoyable june holidays spent mostly overseas and
kicking back, it's back to the humdrum of daily life as a student in singapore, getting
inundated with a multitude of tests, assignments and projects. Nevertheless, one must
always look for enjoyment in some aspects of our lives to keep us going, right? and yup
i'm seeking that besides having the basic motivation that this is an important and
unavoidable stage of our lives. haha.

i'd like to thank God for the more than decent scores i got despite having barely a couple of days to start studying for my test week after returning from overseas. in fact, i got A's for my macroeconomic analysis online test, banking and financial institutions essay (84!) and probably electronic commerce management quiz. so i thank God because without Him such good grades would not have been possible on my own strength.

anyway, besides project deadlines scattered over next week: BFI fieldwork report,
CRM/RWPS mega report/survey and MA1 practical project, i'll be having a FA test
tmr as well which i'm currently studying for!

yes acronyms are unavoidable in singapore. haha.

july is a truly busy month indeed cos i'll need to get prepared for a leading climbing
competition closer to the end of this month after the bulk of my schoolwork is over and done
with. plus all those promising summer blockbusters coming out!

i can't wait to share my experience holidaying and climbing in beautiful railay/krabi and will do
so once some spare time frees up and i'm out of these freezing cold labs!

until then, about that test..

The Time of My Life (hopefully)

Despite a series of MSTs post-term break, i'll be embarking on some sort of extended vacation from today aka in a few hours time. first stop will be church camp at KL Times Square. looking forward to first and foremost, spending time with God, hotel buffets every meal, a bit of shopping, probably some studying for my more important modules AND Camp 5! largest indoor state-of-the-art rockclimbing facility in asia! we'll probably try to squeeze in the latter on one of the days where there'll be an extended free time and one utama's only a 15 min taxi ride from the city centre besides.

in case you were wondering why i'm gonna be doing studying in a church camp/holiday, that's because it won't be the only one. once arriving back in SG on saturday night i'll be scrambling preparations post haste for a 6d5n trip with friends to krabi, thailand or more specifically Railay peninsula - one of the best places in the world to rock climb! besides it being ranked for having one of the best beaches in Asia, it has towering limestone karst formations, white sandy beaches, crystal-clear lagoons and pure island life not so commercialized (the place is only accessible by boat). haha sounds exactly like a description from a movie... The Beach to be exact which i just watched a couple of hours ago. and it's the place all travel guides talk about.

so now you should know why i'm gonna do the studying in KL. hahaha.

adios, amigos.

just recently, i find i'm a bit confused by this person.

cos it's like there are times when you're really nice and it seems you've forgotten about
everything past. then other times, and this can be in the blink of an eye, you suddenly get moody and show signs of frustration, probably at me? why the split personality? you should know why i haven't given up. the answer is in your reactions from time to time. if you really wanted to get things over with, you would have done so but why did you not?

if you were to ask for my honest opinion, to me, it seems you're afraid? and perhaps you've got every right to, due to past experiences. maybe all i can do is wait for me to slowly regain your trust (after all time has a habit of changing things from the way we expected them to be and for now, there really isn't any hurry for me), as difficult as it may seem and as cancelled out a possibility to you it might be. especially after what you did tell me sometime ago. but there's just something. and it's that somehow despite all your firm insistence about things, i've got this strange feeling,

that you might be just as confused.

oh well, that's life.

hello!i havent updated for sometime and since i've been mostly posting self-ruminative
posts with regard to my reflections and my various muses, so let me talk about
things more extrapersonal this time round!

this month's a rather busy season for rockclimbing. there's rockmaster this weekend
and pumpfest on the 30may-1june weekend. sp organizes rockmaster so i'm helping
out but at the same time i also get to participate. i won't be seeing the routes of course!
haha. looking forward to doing well and will be having training later anyway. oh yeah,
do come down and support me if you have the time!(:

i'm having Macroeconomics Analysis I lesson now and i just found out i scored
100/100 in a test! wooot, thank God for it! yeah. anyway it's one of those really
cold and wet days where you just feel like eating something warm huh! even
the aircon in class is so icy that my fingers are going numb from the cold. it really
does make the weather feel all wintry and nice! which puts into mind going overseas
to somewhere like canada or japan to experience the snowy climate and maybe even
live there for a few months if not years? haha. i hope i do get opportunities in life like
that.

anyway, back to reality and studies!
